Creative Juice
Where will I find a creative juice
To provide energy and fuel to this
dizzy and tired brain?
Where will I find a variety of flavors
to satisfy my tireless enthusiasm,
to keep my boredom at bay?
Is it an institution, an external structure
to keep me on track- Is this what I need,
For the colors of life to attack?
Or will it just flow, these juices, oh so naturally
without the structure and qualms of yesterday?
And then suddenly, I will bear the fruit at some sudden chance...
And I will ask, Is today the lucky day?
To provide energy and fuel to this
dizzy and tired brain?
Where will I find a variety of flavors
to satisfy my tireless enthusiasm,
to keep my boredom at bay?
Is it an institution, an external structure
to keep me on track- Is this what I need,
For the colors of life to attack?
Or will it just flow, these juices, oh so naturally
without the structure and qualms of yesterday?
And then suddenly, I will bear the fruit at some sudden chance...
And I will ask, Is today the lucky day?
Almost
I almost gave you up today
Because I thought its one less thing
to do.
But in this doing, I find myself
Over and over again.
So I can't give you up today
And selfishly, I want you to stay,
Maybe until tommorow or next week.
I am almost gave you up today, dear blog.
Because I thought its one less thing
to do.
But in this doing, I find myself
Over and over again.
So I can't give you up today
And selfishly, I want you to stay,
Maybe until tommorow or next week.
I am almost gave you up today, dear blog.

My Blocks came Tumbling Down
I have overcome another hurdle
But it was only a hurdle in my mind.
A block.. NO!, more like a brickade.
I finally picked up the phone
To make a rather informal social call.
Well lets regress a moment.
Before that call, I sat at my desk
Pondering my plan. A little voice kept pushing me
"Get on out there again!"
So I persisted against the wall I built a year ago.
The voice continued to agonize "Should I email or call? Today or tommorow...or maybe in a few weeks?"
No I said to myself. This cannot wait, it has been too long.
Where is the carefree, happy, ultra friendly girl?
SO, I finally asked a stranger friend to hang out
I simply wrote "Would you like to have some tea with me?"
An email seemed a little less SCAREY.
It wasnt so bad afterall. I have always been a social busy bee
And finally my blocks came tumbling down...one after another renewed my spirit.
I am free.
But it was only a hurdle in my mind.

A True Hero
In Loving Memory of Eliza
The Olympic torch was passed on to you
On the early morning of December twenty-sixth.
You held it high and ran with honor,
For you had returned to the finish line once again.
You won battle after battle and you beat the odds.
Dearest Eliza, you are a true hero!
Your family is filled with sorrow, to see you leave so soon;
Yet you lived more fully in those seventeen years, than many will ever do.
And through the sorrow there is one thing we all know for sure.
You lit up our lives more than you'll ever know.
And it's not only so, because of your strength or wit- it's because,
While your heart was ailing, your determined and lovable spirit continued to give.
And I have no doubt that you will continue to do so.
For although your heart is no longer beating, your words and love will live on.
Thank you for the memories.
Glow, beautiful, like you always did and forever into eternity will do.
Until we all meet again, our cheers and tears will speak your name proudly. For we are all happier having known you.
With Love and Gratitude, Kimberly

I Don't Know
I don't really know why you are here.
You give me nothing back.
But you do listen, dear blog.
And oh, how I thank you for that.
I don't know what to write today
Or how much I really want to say,
But all and all I know, that no matter what
You will still be here for me...
On any given day.
So for this thank you.
Dear Blog,
Yeah that's all I want to say.
So have a GREAT day!
